What a detection is

A species, a time, a place, and a confidence score, attached to the recording it came from. You can play it back.

Every number in a report traces back to something somebody can check.

When it’s not sure

A confidence score describes the recording, not the world. A clear call nearby and a distant one in the rain can score the same and mean very different things.

Uncertain detections stay marked uncertain. We show them instead of dropping them to tidy up the totals.

You’ll know if a recorder stops

Recorders report their own health, and data arrives in near real time instead of at the end of the season.

The usual failure isn’t a wrong species. It’s a box that stopped recording in April, found in October, and a season of data that doesn’t exist.

We’re building one API for your systems to read from. A key rather than a login, and versioned, so we can change things without breaking your integration.
